Sir A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was always my source of inspiration to do social service in the area of Education.
Time to Time there are many famous initiatives which came to my knowledge, There could be many more but below are some of them which I liked most:-
- Dashrath Manjhi:- Best part of the initiative was resources he used; A hammer, a chisel and his determination for his Goal.
- 1 Crore Bridge in Haryana by Villagers:- Ignored by authorities, villagers contributed and crowdfunded from Rs. 500 to 5 Lakhs to build a bridge on river and reduced the village distance from Town by approx 30 Km.
- Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar:- World Famous Teacher with world famous initiative Super 30.
Social Contribution:- Anyone can start doing social service from very simple thing which matters alot and nothing new, everyone is aware about all these thing:-
- Give Way to Ambulance Always
- Purchase Vegetables from Street Vendors whenever possible
- Plant a Tree at least once in a year or once in a 5 year in the name of your dear one
- Donate for a cause as low as you can at regular intervals (Yearly, Monthly etc.)
- Donate Blood Yearly
- Avoid wastage of Food whenever you can
- Save Water in your Daily routine
- Save Electricity in your Daily routine
- Avoid Plastic whenever you can
- Avoid Leather Products if you can
